- Finishing her book about balanced perspectives and practical applications of the CCSS.
- Speaking at the State of Maryland International Reading Association Council Conference on the 28th through the 30th on two topics: "New Thoughts on Common Coaching Practices" and "Practical Perspectives on the CCSS Recommendations for Text Complexity."
- Facilitating a book Discussion Group on IRA's Engage. Jan will post discussion questions and participate in an online discussion group about Preventing Misguided Reading: New Strategies for Guided Reading Teachers. (March 2012)
- Managing Literacyhead.com, organizing new content development, and creating the documents that articulate Literacyhead's alignment to the CCSS.
